Home Maintenance Planner | Appliance Records, Repairs & Contracts
Home, Handled
Apparently the house needs admin too.
The washing-machine manual has vanished. That tap is still dripping. And the number for the person who fixed something last time? Absolutely no idea.
Home, Handled keeps recurring jobs, appliance details, repairs and useful contacts in one calm, practical place. A little less searching. A few fewer things to remember. No perfect-home performance required.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• See overdue maintenance jobs and jobs due within your chosen window.
• Record when you completed a recurring job; its next due date updates using your chosen repeat interval.
• Keep model numbers, receipt locations and your recorded warranty dates together.
• Track repairs from getting quotes to getting them sorted, including estimated and final costs.
• Save household contacts while you can still find their details.
FIVE CONNECTED WORKBOOK VIEWS
• Overview: overdue jobs, upcoming jobs, open repairs and key totals. The first six flagged jobs appear in due-date order; the full list stays in Maintenance.
• Maintenance: 80 spaces, including 12 editable starter jobs. Choose weekly, fortnightly, monthly, every two months, quarterly, six-monthly, yearly or one-off. Pause jobs you do not need.
• Appliances: 60 records for rooms, makes, models, serial numbers, purchase costs, receipt/manual locations and warranty dates.
• Repairs: 40 records for issues, contacts, progress, quotes, actual costs and completion dates.
• Contacts: 50 spaces for businesses, services, phone numbers, emails and useful references.
YOUR DOWNLOAD INCLUDES
• One editable Excel workbook (.xlsx).
• A three-page A4 Quick Start Guide (.pdf).
• Four A4 printable companion pages in one PDF: Maintenance Check-in, Appliance Record, Repair Notes and Useful Home Contacts.
• A short Read Me First file (.txt).
EXCEL + GOOGLE SHEETS
Open a working copy in Microsoft Excel, or upload the workbook to Google Drive, open it with Google Sheets and save it as a Google Sheet. No macros required. Formulas and dropdowns have been checked after Google Sheets import. Small visual differences can occur between applications. A computer or larger screen is recommended for editing the wider tables; tablet access depends on your spreadsheet app.
START SMALL
Add your home name, choose a few useful jobs and enter their first due dates or actual completion dates. White cells are yours; shaded cells calculate. The 12 starter jobs and repeat intervals are editable examples — choose dates that suit the item and its care instructions.
PLEASE KNOW
This is a digital download. No physical item or device is included. Listing images show illustrative entries; your workbook has blank household records and 12 editable starter jobs. PDFs are ordinary printables, not fillable forms, and do not calculate or sync with the workbook. No cutting is needed.
This is an organiser, not a maintenance instruction manual. It does not send reminders, book repairs, store uploaded receipts or confirm warranty coverage. Record dates from your own paperwork and follow manufacturer instructions or qualified advice for care and service tasks. Repair costs use pounds (£); the file does not make payments or connect to your bank.
For personal household use. You may reuse the files for your own home; please do not resell, redistribute or share the files as a template.
